LITTLE JACK JUMPER FUNDRAISER
CHILI SUPPER
Thanks for your support!

Little Jack's Website
On behalf of FOP Martin Boots Lodge #79, we
want to thanks those that attended and supported our fundraiser for Little
Jack Jumper on March 8, 2010 at the Grant County 4H Fairgrounds. Below is a
little history on Jack Jumper and the reason as to why we hosted the fundraiser.
-
Jack Jumper was born November 27, 2009 to
Jon and Michelle Jumper in Miami County, Indiana.
-
Jack’s dad is currently a Deputy with the
Miami County Sheriffs Department and his mother is a Trooper with the
Indiana State Police.
At 5 months gestation, an ultrasound detected
that Jack had some severe Congenital heart defects. His pulmonary artery is
underdeveloped and is missing a valve. Jack also has transposition of the
great vessels. Which means the Aorta and the Pulmonary Arteries are attached
to the top of the heart on the wrong side. All of Jack’s defects must be
corrected in the first year of life or Jack will not survive.
As of now Jack has had two major open heart
surgeries. The first one was 12/01/09 and the second one was 12/21/09. His
next surgery will be at about 10-12 months of life. The next surgery will be
to reconstruct the great arteries. Jack will also be receiving a G tube into
his belly for feedings but in order to have the G tube he needs to weight at
least 6 lbs 10 oz.
As you can imagine Jack’s insurance coverage
is fast reaching the maximum lifetime pay out of $1,000,000 in just 3 months
of life. Jack is required to have a medicine that costs $1,000 a month that
insurance will not cover. “Little things” like that add up pretty fast.
With all of that being said, I request that
anyone and everyone attend the fundraiser. There is no cost for the meal;
however, we ask that you make a monetary donation. All of the monies raised
during this fundraiser will be hand delivered to Jack and his family. To
